The South Kempsey Pump Track is a flowing, rollercoaster-style track for bikes, skateboards, scooters, and skates. With smooth asphalt, banked turns, and viewing areas, it’s a fun destination for riders… of all ages.

On Point Surf School offers individual and group lessons, along with shortboard, softboard, and SUP hire, conveniently located near the boat ramp on the Killick Creek reserve. As a designated National… Surfing Reserve, it is a favourite destination for surfers of all abilities.

Located just one kilometre south in Hat Head National Park, Gap Beach is tucked beneath the scenic Smoky Cape Range. Gap Beach is a secluded paradise nestled between lush rainforest and rugged rocky headlands.

Back Beach in South West Rocks is a 1.6km stretched of sand ranging from the Macleay River training wall to South West Rocks Creek. Accessible via the footbridge over Back Creek or by 4WD from the western… end, this secluded spot is well known for its scenic coastal walks and excellent beach fishing.

Little Bay is a secluded beach tucked between striking granite headlands, just south of Trial Bay within the beautiful Arakoon National Park. Located on the eastern side of the headland is South West Rocks main beach. A stunning 3.5km stretch that wraps around the protected waters of Trial Bay. South West Rocks Main Beach is the perfect family… friendly beach making it a crowd favourite throughout everyone.

Horseshoe Bay is located at the heart of South West Rocks. It is a sheltered beach making it perfect for families and is in a tight nit area very close to fishing spots, town shops and many areas for sitting… and/or picnics.

A beautiful expanse of beach, Queens Head is uniquely divided by an impressive rock formation. Located just south of Point Plomer, Queens Beach is popular throughout families and is a fantastic spot for… a beach day.

Escape the noise and responsibilities and venture out to Point Plomer. Surrounded by lushes’ rainforests and a surf break no one wants to miss out on, Point Plomer is an amazing spot to have a day trip.

Tucked away in Crescent Head, One Palm Beach is a picturesque destination offering breathtaking coastal scenery and rewarding walking tracks. Found only 15-minute drive from Crescent Head with a scenic… drive till One Palm Beach making this a fan favourite and amazing day trip.

Just a 10-minute drive from Crescent Head, this beautiful beach is a favourite for families. Big Hill has lots of variety for adventures and/or relaxing including a 1.4km Rainforest Walking Track with… heaps of spots to stop and look at whales during winter and spring as well as a glorious beach to relax and soak in the beautiful weather.

A popular stretch of coastline renowned for its pristine beaches, excellent surf, and relaxed natural setting. Nestled between Delicate Beach and Big Hill, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy swimming, fishing,… beach walks, and breathtaking coastal scenery.

A little hidden gem found along the coastline is Sunset. With rock pools and a large sand area to play, Sunset is always a fan favourite throughout everyone and is easy to let time get away when you’re… visiting.

Back beach is a stunning stretch of beach located just south of Crescent Head. The water is fantastic for a swim and is an easy walk to the end making it a must visit when in Crescent Head.

Racecourse beach is positioned right on Goolawah beach is a must visit in Crescent Head. Enjoy spectacular coastal views and the chance to spot dolphins, whales, and other marine wildlife.

Pebbly beach is a cobble-boulder shore located on the southern side of the headland in Crescent Head. With a permanent, strong rip along the southern rocks, this area is a favourite among experienced anglers.

Crescent Head Main beach, also known as Killick Beach, is a primarily location located 15min drive East of Kempsey. Crescent Head Main beach is famous for its long right-hand surf break and is accommodating… for surfers of all ages. Crescent Head is the perfect family-friendly beach destination you won’t want to miss.

Kalateenee Mountain Bike Trail is made up of 20-25 kilometres worth of mountain bike trails located just outside of Kempsey in Kalateenee State Forest. The trails are open for the public and visitors free… of charge. the tracks are arranged through levels from beginner tracks to more advanced providing something for everyone.

Located just as you enter Kempsey is the APEX Rudder Park Lookout that provides an astonishing view of the Macleay Valley. A pleasant place to stop as has a kids park and carpark for visitors.

Macleay Valley Lookout is a spectacular sight found just west of Kempsey in Greenhill. The views looking out over the Macleay River and Kempsey are breathtaking and worth the stop to take photographs and… take in the scenic views that surround the Macleay Valley.

Hat head National Park, located down the coastline near South West Rocks is a hidden paradise. Providing numerous walking tracks and many spots to go whale watching. Hat Head National Park is a highlight… of the Macleay Valley, and we hope you can see why.

Arakoon national park, found at the tip of Trial Bay Goal Access Road, is home to the historic Trial Bay Gaol and provides beachside camping, rocky foreshores and has amazing facilities for camping, fishing,… and family activities making it a great opportunity for everyone to have fun.

Located just outside of Crescent Head lays the famous Goolawah National Park. With toilet facilities and an array of beaches to choose from Goolawah national park is always a fan favourite and provides… a great family experience for everyone.

Kempsey Golf Club located at 330 Macleay Valley Way holds weekly competitions open for both visitors and regular members. Competitions are held on severely days of the week except Sunday and Monday and… bring great competition to the Macleay Valley allowing everyone to show off their talents.

Everybody is invited to South West Rocks for their annual ‘Community Christmas Carols”. A fun family event for everyone to get involved with and a brilliant way to spread Christmas spirit. Grab a run… and a picnic dinner and come down to South West Rocks Public School to celebrate the Christmas joy!

The Trial Bay Triathlon usually held annually in February includes Enticer and Sprint distances in beautiful South West Rocks, NSW.  With options for Individuals, Relay Teams and All in Teams – there’s… something for everyone.  It’s a beautiful community event that is used to showcase the many talented people throughout the Macleay.

The Hat Head Night Markets are a much-loved community event, bringing together locals and visitors for an evening of great food, unique stalls, and a vibrant coastal atmosphere. Primarily during school… holidays, the markets are brought to Hat Head reserve right next to the bowling club.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Kempsey River, the Gladstone Markets are held on the third Saturday of each month, offering a vibrant experience for visitors and locals alike. Browse an array… of unique stalls featuring local produce, artisan crafts, handmade goods, and delicious food, with something to suit every age and interest.

Overlooking the classic Macleay Valley River held on the first Saturday of the every month is the vibrant Riverside markets. They flourish with many different stalls and cater for all ages and tastes creating… a wonderful Saturday morning occasion for the whole family.

Found at the reserve overlooking the beach lays the location for the Crescent Head Markets. The buzzing event consists of so much variety and options for all ages. The markets occur every second Sunday… of every month making them a lovely family occasion for a Sunday morning.

Located at 1 Livingstone street, South West Rocks Beachside Markets are always a family favourite event held on every second Saturday of every month. An occasion that never fails to bring good spirits… and an occasion we hope to see you at next.

The Bluewater fishing club is proudly known for their highly popular June long weekend Competition. An event that showcases the talent that thrives throughout Crescent Head and allows people to express… their love for the sport. With categories throughout Boat, Beach, Rock and Estuary fishing there is something for everyone to get involved with.

Stomp the point is an annual competition that takes place in early March. The event is run by the Crescent Head Malibu Club and is used to bring the Crescent Head community together and showcase the talent… hidden within Crescent Head. The occasion is always special in Crescent Head, and we want you to be a part of it.

The Crescent Head Malibu Classic is a premier annual longboard surfing event held at our local beach every year held in late May. The competition consists of over 60 heats and age limit of 12-85yrs meaning… it gives everyone a chance to get involved. So, grab your longboards and come down and see why Crescent Head is classified as being a world-famous right-hand wave.

Come down on Christmas eve and experience the annual Santa Surf! An attraction that brings thousands to our local crescent head beach as we all dress up and paddle the creek together. Be involved with… the exciting Christmas spirit and join us in a paddle down the creek.
